The Forestry Commission are a London based alternative/indie rock four-piece featuring Michael Davis (vocals), Jonny Lees (guitar), MJ Moon (bass) and Chris Gilmer (drums).
Formed in early 2012 largely through a frustration at the lack of UK guitar music being released, their songs are underpinned by a strong, up-tempo rhythm section, and Lees’ distinctive chiming guitar running alongside Davis’ emotional and sometimes desperate vocals, adding an unmistakable depth and intensity.
The band are playing venues right now. Come and form your own opinion - needless to say they’d love your support.
Here it is folks! Just click on the Music tab above and listen to our brand new recording titled Wait. It’s been the set opener for a couple of months and now it’s great to have the energy captured on tape.
